BIOGRAPHY
Derelicts is a progressive death metal band formed in 2014 in Lille, France.
Following years of writing and studio production, the band released a series of independent singles from 2018 to 2025, gradually refining a sound rooted in melodic and progressive death metal, while incorporating elements of modern extreme metal, orchestral arrangements, film scores and a strong emphasis on sound design, inspired by Lovecraftian fiction.
Rather than relying on traditional song structures, Derelicts constructs long-form compositions built around recurring musical ideas, atmosphere and narrative development.
The band returned to the stage in 2025 with a renewed five-piece lineup and an expanded live production featuring dedicated lighting, scenography and a fully integrated technical crew. In spring 2026, Derelicts released a limited-edition compilation gathering all material released between 2018 and 2025.
Recent appearances at Hellfest le Off and FurioUs CirkUs IV marked a new chapter in the band’s development. Derelicts is currently expanding its live production while writing its debut full-length album
