Derelicts is a progressive death metal collective formed in 2016. The band started with a raw, introspective EP and evolved into a studio-focused project, enriching its sound with influences from Opeth, Katatonia, Dark Tranquillity, and Septicflesh — while also incorporating modern touches inspired by the Australian scene. This evolution was accompanied by new members, strengthening the dynamic of the project.
After several years of studio work, Derelicts has returned to the stage with renewed energy. Through liberating compositions, the band explores childhood traumas and their resonance in adulthood, transforming pain into resilience.
Driven by six musicians — including two female vocalists — and a dedicated technical team, Derelicts delivers a powerful and immersive live experience. More than just a musical project, it’s a committed collective, convinced that art can be a force for healing.
LINE UP
Marion Durier Vocals
Deeply influenced by rock and metal icons from the 1990s to today, Marion officially joined the band as a vocalist in 2024. With a professional background rooted in the arts, she also oversees the artistic direction of the project.
Charlotte Laloutre Vocals
Initially featured as a guest vocalist, Charlotte officially joined the band as a lead singer in 2024. A vocal coach and an electrifying stage presence, she draws inspiration from major figures in black metal and the modern metal scene.
Simon Duthilleul Guitars
True enthusiast of modern music, Simon is a founding member of Derelicts. As the band’s composer, arranger, producer, and guitarist, he is responsible for most of the songs and their lyrics.
Ivan Penkuhn Bass
Bassist of the band since its inception, he is one of the founding members. Highly comfortable on stage, he also handles a significant part of the backing vocals. His unique bass playing unveils new nuances with every listen.
Clément Martin Guitars
Joining the band in 2022, he brings fresh influences to the group. As a modern metal enthusiast, he has helped shape a new era for the band with pitch-shifters and 7-string guitars.
Pierre Croce Drums
Joining as the band’s drummer in 2023, Pierre is the steady force of the group. He’s a fan of progressive music and draws from his diverse musical background to enrich the band’s sound.
Paul Sauvage Technic / Light Engineer
Electronics engineer, he has been the technical mastermind behind Derelicts since 2024. He is responsible for programming the band’s light show, managing the complete system architecture, and designing technical solutions to meet the group’s needs.
Hugo Williame Arrangments / Orchestrations
As a professional composer and arranger, Hugo enhances the band’s orchestral universe with his unique touch and expertise. Also a professional drummer, he has crafted the drum parts for many of Derelicts’ tracks.
Alex Orta Mix / Mastering engineer
A multi-instrumentalist and sound engineer, Alex has mixed and mastered many of Derelicts’ tracks. He also often features on various songs and frequently joins the band on stage.
